Math: Geometry 
-I can find the area and perimeter of a rectangle.
-I can find missing sides of rectangles when given the area.
-I can find missing sides of rectangles when given the perimeter.
 
Science: Physical Science (Chapter 6)
-I can identify and describe the three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas.
-I can interpret the causes and effects of a physical change in matter.
 

Week of Jan. 30-Feb. 3

Math: Geometry 
-I can estimate angle measures. 
-I can measure angles using a protractor.
-I can find unknown angle measures when given the sum of two adjacent angles.
-I can find the area and perimeter of a rectangle.
 
Science: Physical Science (Chapter 6)
-I can choose an appropriate tool for measuring a specific physical property of matter.
-I can determine the mass, volume, and temperature of a substance or object using proper units of measurement.

January 17-20

Math: Line Plots and Geometry 
-I can read and interpret line plots involving fractional amounts.
-I can identify geometric terms and line relationships in 2-D shapes.
 
Science: Chapter 5 
-I can identify the basic features of the water cycle and describe their importance to life on earth.
-I can explain the difference between weather and climate.

January 9-13

Math: Decimals 
-I can use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. 
-I can place decimals on a number line.
-I can make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit. (1/2, 1/4, 1/8)
-I can solve problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions by using information presented in line plots.
 
Science: Chapter 5 
-I can investigate how the earth's geological features change as a result of erosion and deposition. 
-I can identify the basic features of the water cycle and describe their importance to life on earth.
