Lead Advisory Notice

Collierville Schools conducted testing of lead levels in drinking water in accordance with the requirements set forth in T.C.A 49-2-133 and Collierville Schools Board Policy 3.212. The sample results revealed lead levels are above the regulatory limit (15 ppb) at two sources, Collierville Elementary School, Tara Oaks Elementary School, and West Collierville Middle School. Hynes Named Next Principal of Tara Oaks Elementary by Superintendent Lilly

Dr. Gary Lilly names longstanding employee, Ms. Brandi Hynes as the next principal of Tara Oaks Elementary School. She will succeed Ms. Tricia Marshall, who is retiring at the end of June after a 42-year career in education, the last ten of which were spent as Tara Oaks Elementary’s third principal. Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten School Year 2021-22 Application Now Open

Voluntary Pre-K is an educational program that school districts may apply for on an annual basis and is funded by state and local funds. The purpose of the program is to provide your four-year-old child(ren), identified as being educationally and economically at-risk, with the access to a quality educational environment, in hopes of preparing he or she for future educational success. The program is of no cost to the parent(s)/caregiver(s).

2020-2021 Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Tara Oaks Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Darlene Rayburn! Mrs. Rayburn is currently a lead teacher in the Department of Exceptional Children. She has served in education for 23 years and we are so proud that she is a part of the Tara Oaks family!!
