About Mrs. Elder

Hello! My name is Risa Elder and I am so excited to be back at Tara Oaks this year! While I am sad we have had to put our STEM class on "paws" this year, you can bet we will be incorporating lots of STEM practices and activities into our daily work. 

 

A little about me:

 

I am a lifelong resident of Collierville, TN and there's no place I'd rather call home! I am married and have two grown boys who both work in STEM careers. My oldest works in AgriSTEM for Helena Chemical & my youngest works for Boeing in Huntsville testing parts and programs for the ISS. We also have a Golden Retriever named Molly who doesn't seem to understand she is a dog.

 

In my spare time I like to garden, spend time on my parent's farm, exercise, shop for antiques & sit on the beach just listening to the waves.
