STEM at Tara Oaks

STEM at Tara Oaks is "on paws" for the '20-'21 school year. Below is information regarding our curriculum. I look forward to getting back in the lab as soon as possible!

 

The STEM lab serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade.  Our curriculum is based on Project Lead The Way (PLTW) and Picture Perfect STEM.  This curriculum is project based and focuses more on the process of designing and problem solving than products and outcomes.  Using the Engineer Design Process, students will work in groups to create solutions to real world problems.  Through their work as a team, students will learn problem solving and communication skills.  They will also learn to analyze the work of others and give positive constructive feedback to their peers.  If you would like more information about PLTW or Picture Perfect STEM, go to   www.pltw.org and http://www.pictureperfectscience.com.
