Mrs. Schifani's Class
I am so excited to be teaching your child 4th grade math this year! Math is one of my favorite subjects. I tell students that my job is to not only teach math skills, but to also teach them how to think critically about numbers.
In my class, we will delve into the concepts of math so that we understand all of the patterns and connections between what we are learning. We will learn that math is something to be manipulated for our purposes, not something to be merely memorized. HOWEVER, math is also about balancing efficiency with accuracy in everything we do.
