Girls Empowerment Club (GEC5)

GEC5 is for 5th grade girls only. 

 

I am hoping that this club will help girls see beyond some of the social pressures and realize the many paths/options that are opened to them that are not always highlighted in the general media. This is a new club, which just started last year, and we are hoping to build up interest in the coming years to show the importance of being aware of the accomplishments of women in the general media who aren’t usually highlighted.

 

We will meet women from our community, as well as learn about other important women in history.

 

We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month right after school. This club will be held in the Fall and Spring.
